New project: “Stellantis”
Stellantis is a project I’ve been working on for a long time, not that it was the most complicated project but because I wanted to make sure to get all the details right. I had this idea about someone stealing stars from the night sky and I thought it would be nice if it’s done with the help of an everyday object that we all can relate to. I thought that a giant tweezer could be an interesting object and I went on a search to try to find one. It was easier said than done and as I realized they don’t make them particulary big I decided that the best way to make it come to life would be to build one. The model in the image, Stella, helped me bring it to life as she also works as a production designer on films and we found a blacksmith in Prague that could help us. We ended up with a 150 cm solid aluminium piece, fully functional. This object and photo is currently on display as part of the exhibition in Seoul Art Center until September 2019.
I’d love to hear your thoughts about it, if you’re interested there is also a behind the scenes video available on my YouTube channel. See link in bio for larger version of the image.

Expectations, 2018. I made this last year as a reflection on the creative process. Feeling the pressure from people around, although they are often just projections of your own expectations. The hardest part of the process is often just to get started, the worst that can happen is that you fail and then you will at least learn something from that for the next project. Never stop creating, don’t fear the expectations! Move forward always and forever. .

New work: “Above All”
The pillars of nature holding up the world around us. Lost in a place that is strangely familiar. What is most important, above all.
Photographed in Sweden (forest), Czech Republic (model) and Germany (escalator) over the past 2 years. It’s one of those projects that has just been lying around waiting to be be finished. Shot on #Hasselblad H6D-50c & light #profoto b1x.

”Set Them Free, 2012” In the house where i grew up there where some painting of boats on the walls. I thought that it was a bit sad that they were just stuck in the small frames and it gave me the idea of creating a project where boats are set free from the frames. After finding a suitable frame in a second hand shop and building a simple container behind the frame that I could fill up with water I went out to photograph it in a lake in Sweden almost 7 years ago. .
