PERMANENT EXHIBITION SPACE
Svenstorp Art Center is the permanent exhibition space for Erik Johansson’s work in the renovated barns of Stora Svenstorp. Located outside the small town of Götene in the Swedish countryside where Erik Johansson grew up and opened up in 2025.
The art center was created with Erik Johansson’s sister Anna-Karin Hall and designed together with architect and creative partner Studio Tina. The old farm buildings have been transformed into exhibition halls, a café and a shop in a modern and innovative way.
Each season features a seasonal exhibition of Erik Johansson’s work alongside an invited guest artist. The prints are shown at large scale giving visitors the full experience of the work that a screen or a small print simply can't offer.
Svenstorp Art Center is open from May through September every year from Thursday to Sunday, 11:00-1700. In 2025 it was named Tourism Company of the Year by Destination Läckö-Kinnekulle.
